No real issues
So sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here. It's been a busy week. We checked into the hospital for 24 hours of monitoring and the girls didn't really act up at all. They were like a finicky car that acts up until you take it to the shop. :) We ended up getting discharged before the full 24 hours was up and we did go to Michigan. Pictures coming later. The girls still are only eating about 15-20 oz. a day. They used to eat 24 oz. at their peak. We think they're teathing. They show all the symptoms of teathing except fever and swollen gums (we don't think they're swollen anyway). It does seem early for three month (adjusted age) babies to be teething, but it is possible from what we've read. It would explain the loss of appetite. We're also not using Avent bottles as of right now. We spent a lot of money on them, so we're hanging on to them. The girls don't seem to eat as well with them as they did with the hospital provided bottles. We are still on for our trip to FL next week.

That is such good news! i am so glad it was nothing with the girls! i can't wait to see pictures i love looking at them :) now that you mentioned how much they eat i started worrying about my girls i think they only eat about 18-21 oz. a day wonder if thats enough? we also use Avent bottles, we switched from Dr. Brown's to Avent and i love them! i never tried the hospital ones wonder if it would help them?
ReplyDeleteI don't think it would make a difference. Our girls did great with the Avent bottles for almost 2 months, then all of a sudden they just treated them like pacifiers when they were supposed to be eating. Who knows? I wouldn't worry about your girls' intake. Our girls are taking about that much now. I think as long as they're gaining weight then all is well.
ReplyDeleteAnnaSophia started teething at 3 months. She now has 11 teeth at 13 months and the last 5 came all at once (including 4 molars). If they're still gaining weight and the doctors are keeping an eye on them I wouldn't worry too much about the ounces they do/don't consume. (if they start losing weight, then I'd be worried.) I love seeing the pictures, you two are doing an awesome job!
